The original Mighty Ducks was a bit of a surprise package given that ice hockey is probably only marginally more popular than baseball in this country. However, it has gone on to spawn a couple of equally inoffensive if bland sequels, of which this is probably the best. Emilio Estevez is once again the coach of the ragbag misfits, leading them to the Goodwill Games only to get seduced by the trappings of fame. Will he be able to get them back on the winning track? What do you think? Sam Weisman's direction offers no surprises and, although he stages the actual ice-hockey games with some flair, the most notable thing about the movie is that this is possibly the first time the baddies have been Icelandic.

After Gordon Bombay's hockey comeback is cut short he is named coach of Team USA Hockey for the Junior Goodwill Games. Bombay reunites the Mighty Ducks and introduces a few new players, however, he finds himself distracted by his newfound fame and must regather if the Ducks are to defeat tournament favourites Iceland.
