A wealthy couple decide to set themselves a challenge by buying a remote, run-down house with the idea of giving it a new lease of life. Instead they discover the property has a sinister past, the locals do not take kindly to outsiders and the former owner, recently released from prison, will do whatever it takes to drive them away.
