An irresponsible father and ex-husband is forced to live Christmas Day over and over again until he learns to make amends for his past failings. Although his initial reaction is to revert to his childish behaviour, he gradually comes to realise that the only way to escape the repetitive nightmare is to treat his son and former wife with the respect they deserve. Kevin tries to be involved with his son and ex-wife's family for Christmas. During dinner, he thought his Christmas *day* couldn't be more screwed; his son suddenly wishes it was Christmas every day.
