Any fond memories of Clive Barker's brilliant Candyman character get well and truly trashed in this dreadful made-for-video sequel. Tony Todd returns to little effect as the hook-handed bogeyman who tries to frame his artist descendant (talentless Baywatch star Donna D'Errico) for the nasty murders of her best friends so she'll join him as a spectral legend and ease his netherworld loneliness. Director Turi Meyer attempts to disguise the film's numerous shortcomings by overdoing the gore to a laughable degree, but it still remains yawningly predictable and unrelentingly stupid.
