A 14-year-old with a reputation for tall tales loses the sole copy of a story he has written for school - only for it to end up in the hands of a Hollywood producer. When the youngster realises it has been made into a blockbuster movie, he goes to Los Angeles with his best friend to claim a fair share of the profits - but when the movie executive refuses to do the right thing, they plan a fitting revenge.
