Rita Hayworth and Glenn Ford, stars of that electric film noir Gilda, are re-united here in yet another spy drama set in a far-flung international Hollywood hotspot. The plot is some nonsense about spy rings, with Ford helping Hayworth find her husband's killer, but who cares when the stars strike such sparks from each other? Alexander Scourby makes an effective villain, and veteran director Vincent Sherman is in his element with this kind of material. Despite its flaws, this is highly entertaining, and Hayworth is simply ravishing in her return to the screen after a four-year break following her marriage to Prince Ali Khan.
