This Italian-made, would-be epic stars Hollywood hunk Gordon Mitchell - a sort of low-rent Steve Reeves - as Achilles, and Gallic "boeufcake" Jacques Bergerac as his arch rival, Hector. If one turns a blind eye to the performances and a deaf ear to the Anglo-American dubbing, this is quite a handsome and honourable breeze through parts of Homer's Iliad, with some decent battles and nice location work. That said, Achilles rather lets his guard slip when a simpering, supine slave girl takes his mind off the Trojan War.
