"A Powerful NEW Drama of a Mad Love!"
- Director: Lawrence Huntington
- Genre: Drama, Romance, Mystery & Suspense,
- Studio: Sydney Box Productions
- Subtitled | Black & White | Duration: 110 Mins
Overview:
In his last British film before taking off for Hollywood, James Mason returned to the kind of brooding figure that female audiences had adored in The Seventh Veil and Odd Man Out. He's the brilliant brain surgeon who concocts an elaborate revenge on the shrewish figure responsible for the death of the married woman he loved. The murderess is played by Pamela Kellino (Mason's wife, who co-scripted) while his great love is Rosamund John. The plot is heavily contrived, ie ridiculous, but Mason's performance and Lawrence Huntington's directorial flair keep one hooked.
