"20,000 Laughs Under The Sea!"
- Director: Blake Edwards
- Genre: Romance, Classics, Comedy,
- Studio: Granart Company
- Subtitled | Duration: 140 Mins
Overview:
This wonderfully wacky wartime comedy teams those two great farceurs Cary Grant and Tony Curtis in their only movie together; ironically (or intentionally, since Grant produced), it was made immediately following Curtis's take-off of Grant in Some Like It Hot. Here Grant plays a submarine commander trying to keep his ropey old vessel in the water with the help of wheeler-dealer junior officer Curtis. Complications arise as the sub takes on board a number of unorthodox passengers, among them a group of sexy nurses. Grant is brilliant, with every reaction immaculately timed. Pink Panther director Blake Edwards ensures no gag is missed, and the whole is a deliciously tasteless joy.
