"What if finding the love of your life meant changing the life that you loved?"
- Director: Andy Tennant
- Genre: Comedy, Drama, Romance
- Studio: Columbia Pictures
- Duration: 130 Mins
Overview:
Ignored on its cinema release, this romantic comedy is well worth seeking out. Friends star Matthew Perry plays a New Yorker on business in Las Vegas who has a one-night stand with a beautiful Mexican woman (Salma Hayek), only for her to reappear three months later to tell him she's pregnant with his baby. The road to true happiness is littered with problems, which form the basis for the rest of the movie, with her traditional parents (and his snobby Wasp-ish ones) being the butt of many jokes along the way. The likeable Perry and sultry Hayek make an attractive couple and they're ably supported by Jill Clayburgh, Jon Tenney and Matthew's real-life dad, John Bennett Perry (playing, of course, Matthew's dad). An unexpected treat.
