"When You Push Too Far, Even A Peaceful Man Gets Fighting Mad."
- Director: Jonathan Demme
- Genre: Drama, Action & Adventure,
- Studio: Santa Fe Productions
- Duration: 60 Mins
Overview:
A sleazy, low-budget effort from the Roger Corman factory, with Peter Fonda as an Arkansas rancher's son who declares war on big-business interests and does a Rambo when intimidation turns into murder. There are crooked senators, a corrupt cop and a mob of heavies who line up against Fonda's extended family of ordinary, decent folk. Paying a certain amount of lip service to environmental issues, this is really just an excuse to justify some vigilante violence and to allow novice writer/director Jonathan Demme a few opportunities to show off some fancy footwork. A far cry from Demme's The Silence of the Lambs.
